Palais_shadowThe World Investment Forum 2014 takes place in Geneva, Switzerland at the United Nations Office housed in the Palais des Nations from Monday 13 to Thursday 16 October.

To and from the airport

By train: It takes only 6 minutes from/to Geneva city centre by train (every 12 minutes at rush hours). The airport railway station has direct access to the airport Check-in and Arrival levels. All trains stop at the Cornavin Train station (city centre).

By bus: Bus n°5 is going from Cornavin to Airport every 30 minutes. The journey takes 20 minutes.

NOTE: When you arrive at Geneva’s international airport, a free public transportation pass, lasting 80 minutes, may be obtained in the baggage claim area. This will enable you to reach your hotel, where you can request a Geneva Pass Card.

Taxi fares from the airport to the city centre range between 35 to 45 CHF.

To and from the Palais des Nations

From Geneva airport: Take the bus no28 towards Jardin Botanique and stop at Appia; or take the bus no5 towards Thônex-Vallard and stop at Nations. Duration: 10–15 minutes.

From Geneva train station: Take the tram no15 towards Nations and stop at Nations; or take either the bus no5 towards Aéroport, and stop at Nations, or the bus no8 towards OMS, and stop at Appia. Duration: 10–15 minutes.

By taxi: A taxi stand is located on Route de Pregny, some 25 meters from the Pregny Gate, direction Place des Nations.

Additional information

Participants may travel for free on public transportation in Geneva. A free pass (Geneva Pass Card) will be provided by all Geneva hotels.
